Here are Lawrence-area restaurants that will be open on Thanksgiving, plus info on some free meals

We’ve reached out to restaurants in and around Lawrence. Here are the ones that have confirmed that they’ll be open Thanksgiving day, plus where to get a free holiday meal.

Know of a restaurant that should be on this list? Please let us know! We’ll update this post if we hear about any more that will be open.

• Aladdin Cafe, 1021 Massachusetts St., will be open from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

• China House at 4821 W. Sixth St. Suite D will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• Concept 23, 1606 W. 23rd St., will be open. Its regular Thursday hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

• Cosmos Indian Store & Cafe at 3115 W. Sixth St. Suite H will be open. Its regular Thursday hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.

• Dexter’s Grill & Pub at 3115 W. Sixth St. Suite D will open at 2 p.m. Thursday for a dinner special.

• The Eldridge Hotel at 701 Massachusetts St. is taking reservations from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a classic Thanksgiving meal. Find out how to make reservations here.

IHOP at 3102 Iowa St. will be open until 3 p.m.

Jade Garden at 1410 Kasold Drive will be open. Its regular Thursday hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Nagoya Japanese Cuisine at 711 W. 23rd St. will be open from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and again from 4:30 to 9:15 p.m. on Thursday and closed Friday.

• Perkins Restaurant & Bakery at 1711 W. 23rd St. will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Senryyo Asian Cuisine at 701 W. 23rd St. will be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Sohao Buffet at 821 Iowa St. will be open. Its regular Thursday hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• Tokyo Sushi, 239 Elm St. in North Lawrence, will be open from 11:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Zoe’s Noodle House at 1530 W. Sixth St. will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. They’ll have an all-day seafood buffet with all-you-can-eat crab legs. See more of their special Thanksgiving menu here.

Free community meals

• L.I.N.K., or the Lawrence Interdenominational Nutrition Kitchen, will serve its annual free Thanksgiving lunch to the community from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church, 221 W. 10th St.

• Sandwich Bowl at 4821 W. Sixth St. will be closed to customers throughout the day Thursday before opening at 5 p.m. for a free, to-go community dinner. Meals are first-come, first-served and doors are open until they run out.

RSVPs on the Facebook event are encouraged to help the restaurant gauge demand. “Donations are welcome, but not required,” according to the event page.
