Crews responded to the fire near 15th and Harper streets around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, McKenzi Ezell, LDCFM data analyst and accreditation manager, said in an email. Crews that arrived reported a working fire in the one-story house.

The fire was contained to an attached garage, and it was under control just after 5 p.m., Ezell said.

The adult and pets had exited the home before LDCFM arrived, Ezell said.

She did not immediately respond to a follow-up email asking whether LDCFM has determined the cause of the fire or whether any damage estimates were available.
