Lawrence City Band members will soon bring their iconic sound back to South Park.

The community ensemble has been performing for more than 150 years, and each summer they play a free show for the public each week.

Shows start at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays at South Park.

Here are the dates of concerts and themes of this season’s shows:

• May 29 – Jersey Boys, Pixar and Oz
• June 5 – Navy Blue Moon and Skies
• June 12 – Hollywood Nights
• June 19 – Scintillating Sixties
• June 26 – James Barnes, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Journey
• July 3 – America the Beautiful
• July 10 – Americana
• July 17 – More Americana

In the case of inclement weather, shows may be moved inside. Keep an eye on the band’s Facebook and Instagram, @lawrencecityband, for updates.
