Haskell Indian Nations University will host its fall 2024 Welcome Back Powwow this weekend.

The tradition draws hundreds of people from the Lawrence community and beyond for music, dancing, food and art vendors, and a celebration of culture.

Haskell students will be invited to participate in a prize giveaway, according to an event flyer. Manny King, Northern Cheyenne, will be master of ceremonies.

The powwow is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Haskell Powwow Grounds, 2535 West Perimeter Road on campus. Grand Entry begins at 6 p.m. It’s free to attend and open to the public.
