An assortment of books, CDs, vinyl, music equipment and more will be for sale as part of a large annual fundraiser at the Lawrence Public Library.
The library and the Audio-Reader Network at the University of Kansas host the two-day sale that features several genres of literature and music, some items priced as low as $2 apiece.
All proceeds support the two organizations. Last year’s sale raised more than $8,000 for the library and more than $20,000 for Audio-Reader.
Music only will be sold at a preview event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 at the library, 707 Vermont St. Tickets cost $5 each at the door.
The full music and book sale is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at the library. It’s free to attend.
According to the Facebook event page for this year’s sale, books, audiobooks, DVDs, puzzles and games will be priced at $2 and below. CDs will be $5 on Friday and $3 on Saturday. Vinyl, musical instruments, stereo equipment and CD box sets will be marked at various prices.
