Following an abrupt closure when a sinkhole was discovered Saturday evening, County Road 458 has reopened to traffic, according to a tweet from Douglas County Tuesday afternoon.
The westbound ramp from Kansas Highway 10 to Lexington Avenue in De Soto was set to close Thursday as workers prepare to demolish the westbound bridge deck this weekend.
Bridge improvement work along a roughly 9-mile stretch of K-10 between Eudora and K-7 is set to begin Monday, and it’s expected to continue through early December.
