The Lawrence City Commission on Tuesday received an update from city staff about the progress of the Climate Action Plan and expressed excitement about moving it forward.

The Lawrence-Douglas County Sustainability Office wants to hear from local residents about how to address and protect the community from potential climate change risks. In addition, the Lawrence City Commission will receive an update on the Climate Action Plan on Tuesday.
Douglas County commissioners heard an update Wednesday on local plans to address climate change. They commended the plan’s direction so far, as well as how it takes equity into account.
