The long-running tradition of the Lawrence Art Guild’s Art in the Park continued Saturday, with more than 100 artists and creators at South Park to sell their works.

More than 150 artists will display their work Saturday and Sunday for Art in the Park, one of the Lawrence Art Guild’s biggest annual shows.
“The Lawrence Art Guild invites you to Art Spaces, our first open studios event!” Maria S. Martin writes. “Art Spaces is an opportunity for artists to open their studios, homes, or alternate display locations to the public in Lawrence and in Douglas County.”
Three local arts organizations are collaborating to put on a two-day holiday art market, where shoppers can pop around to multiple events in East Lawrence.
The Lawrence Art Guild is celebrating 60 years as a place for local artists to find inspiration, make connections and show off their work. Since 1990, the guild’s All Members Shows have provided broader exposure and invited more community support for members.
