More than 100 community members gathered in Lawrence Saturday afternoon, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Mayor Bart Littlejohn on Tuesday proclaimed “Advocating for Peace Month,” a response to months of community pressure for the city to take action on the conflict in Gaza. Many of those same community members, though, said the measure fell short.

Around 50 people gathered Sunday evening for a potluck and communal healing event intended to support local students and members of the community affected by the violence in Gaza and the West Bank.
Lawrence organizers are hoping to create healing through a gathering and potluck meal this weekend in support of Palestinian community members and those affected by violence overseas.
