Two adults and two children have been displaced by a fire Wednesday morning, according to a news release from Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical.

Firefighters were dispatched at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday and arrived at 10:31 to the trailer home at 110 Michigan St., where heavy flames were showing from the outside and the roof, according to the release. The fire was confined to the trailer, but it had extensive damage.

“An occupant reported that she awoke to a fire in the bedroom and heard smoke alarms activate as she exited,” the release said.

None of the occupants were injured, according to the release. The cause of the fire was still under investigation Wednesday afternoon, and the damage estimate had not yet been determined.
