Note from the Times: This bestseller list comes to us straight from The Raven Book Store in Lawrence. See other editions of the list here.

I think a big question for publishing in the coming Fall Big Book season is how interested people will be in reading about the former president. A wave of postmortems is on the way, and one of the first arrives at No. 5 on this week’s list.

I’m still not sure how the other books will do; maybe people are sick of hearing about it? Maybe now that it’s over, people want to investigate exactly what happened?

Here’s one thing I am sure of: people are interested in books by local authors, which compose half of this week’s list.

1. Sarah Henning, The Queen Will Betray You

2. Meg Heriford, Ladybird, Collected

3. Michael Pollan, This Is Your Mind on Plants

4. Grady Hendrix, The Final Girl Support Group

5. Carol Leonnig, I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J. Trump’s Catastrophic Final Year

6. Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants

7. Danny Caine, How to Resist Amazon and Why: The Fight for Local Economics, Data Privacy, Fair Labor, Independent Bookstores, and a People-Powered Future

8. Missy McCoy, Paradise Cafe and Bakery Cookbook

9. Clint McElroy, The Adventure Zone: The Crystal Kingdom

10. Sarah Henning, The Princess Will Save You
