Pedestrian struck by vehicle and killed was 50-year-old Lawrence resident, police say

A pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle near 15th Street and Haskell Avenue Wednesday morning was 50-year-old Lawrence resident Rachel Snow, Lawrence police said Thursday.

Police said Wednesday that their investigation indicated that a vehicle heading eastbound on 15th Street struck Snow, who was pushing or riding a bicycle near the street’s intersection with Haskell Avenue. Snow was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lawrence Police Lt. David Ernst said Thursday that the investigation into the incident was still ongoing.
