The warrant for her arrest was in connection with a crash in which a 50-year-old Lawrence woman, identified by police as Rachel Snow, was struck by a vehicle near 15th Street and Haskell Avenue the morning of Aug. 4, 2021.

Lawrence police said at the time that their investigation indicated that a vehicle heading eastbound on 15th Street struck Snow, who was pushing or riding a bicycle near the street’s intersection with Haskell Avenue. Snow was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

A 39-year-old Lawrence woman, Kodi Rae Crane, was being held on $50,000 cash or surety bond as of Friday afternoon in connection with the case, the jail log showed.

Crane has an attorney in an ongoing civil case in Douglas County District Court, according to online records. It was unclear whether he will represent Crane in her criminal case, but he did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment Friday.

All arrestees and defendants in criminal cases should be presumed not guilty unless and until they are convicted.
