Trick suspensions and more were on full display for the LowRence Cruisers’ first fundraiser for the Lawrence Schools Foundation on Saturday.

The LowRence Cruisers describe themselves as “a community organization of car guys working with the Lawrence police department to break down barriers and strengthen the community.”

They teamed up with LPD, the Olathe PD and Olathe’s Hispanic Leadership Lowrider Bike Club for the fundraiser car show at the Investigations and Training Center, 4820 Bob Billings Parkway. Proceeds went to the foundation’s ICAN Fund, “which provides school social workers, counselors and school psychologists within the Lawrence Public Schools funds necessary to meet the immediate and emergency needs of students,” according to the schools foundation.
