Second calendar from the Times now highlighting longer-term Lawrence events

The Lawrence Times has added a second calendar to our Events page to help boost exposure for events that are ongoing for longer periods of time.

We wanted to avoid repetition on our daily calendar with events that would show up at the top of each day, potentially for months at a time. After some troubleshooting, we’ve simply added a second calendar.

It’s specifically to showcase things like — for example — museum exhibitions, art galleries, online silent auctions, virtual 5Ks and other things of that nature that go on for days, weeks or months at a time.

You can find it on our Events page below the regular calendar, under a heading that says “Go at your own pace.”

Just like our other calendar, we want to add as many community events as we can! Please submit your longer-term events through this form.

As always, you can submit events to our regular calendar via this form.
