Man injured in rollover crash near Clinton Lake

A 39-year-old man was injured in a rollover crash late Friday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

A northbound driver reported to deputies that around 11:50 p.m. Friday, a southbound vehicle had crossed into oncoming traffic in the 1100 block of East 1000 Road. The vehicle then went off the roadway, struck a drainage culvert and rolled, landing back on its wheels.

The man was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

Deputies were still investigating the cause of the crash, “including potential evidence of impairment,” around 9:45 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
