Police were dispatched to a report of a shooting shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of Overland Drive. McKinley said Monday that because police have yet to hear details from all individuals involved, he can’t provide a full account of what happened.

However, “I can tell you the individuals involved are known to one another and yesterday’s incident appears to be the result (of) an ongoing dispute between some of the parties,” he said via email.

Two people who were also injured in the incident — though not by gunfire — were taken to the hospital, treated and released Sunday night, McKinley said.

The investigation will continue throughout the week, McKinley said. As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.
