The NWS predicted a 40% chance of snow Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, with additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches possible. Wind chills were expected to be between -9° and 1° Thursday, and a winter storm warning remains will remain in effect until noon Thursday.

The City of Lawrence has a map online to see where snow plows are and to get a look at snapshots from traffic cameras; find the map at this link. Keep up with the latest from the National Weather Service at this link. The NWS is also on Twitter and Facebook.

On Wednesday — also Groundhog Day — Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter. But Lawrence pets are making their own predictions, which their owners are sharing on this Facebook post.
