The crash occurred just before 1 p.m. Wednesday just east of the intersection of 31st and Louisiana streets, according to Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical’s PulsePoint app and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

First responders requested a LifeStar air ambulance for one patient. Two others were taken by ambulance to area hospitals.

“The Sheriff’s Office crash investigation team is examining the scene, and 31st Street between Louisiana Street east to Haskell Avenue will be closed for the next several hours, and drivers in the area should plan to take an alternate route,” George Diepenbrock, spokesperson for DGSO, said via email Wednesday afternoon.

The street reopened around 7 p.m. Wednesday, and deputies were still investigating to determine the cause and details of the crash, according to DGSO.
