Gardeners flocked to the fairgrounds Saturday morning for the annual native plant sale hosted by Master Gardeners of Douglas County.

In addition to individual plants, the event was offering bloom boxes designed to attract bees, caterpillars or hummingbirds, according to the group’s website.

The native plants are from the Taylor Creek Restoration Nurseries in Baldwin City, according to the website.

The sale at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Open Pavilion was set to continue through 2:30 p.m. Saturday or whenever the plants sell out, which may be sooner than that.

Learn more and watch for future sales on the group’s website, dgemgks.org.
