A few blocks of Massachusetts Street in downtown Lawrence will close for part of the day Sunday for the Lawrence Electric Vehicle Showcase.
The annual event, hosted by the Sustainability Action Network, will bring a variety of electric cars, trucks, e-bikes and more to South Park. The event is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12.
Mass Street will be closed between North Park and South Park streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Traffic will be detoured at 15th Street to Barker and Connecticut streets, then back to Mass on East 11th Street.

Tennessee Street lane closure to be extended
Contractors will extend the existing lane closure on Tennessee Street further south past Ninth Street starting Monday, Oct. 13.
The closure is for waterline work, and the city anticipates it will last two weeks, pending weather or other delays.
New Hampshire Street garage stairwell to close
The southwest stairwell in the New Hampshire Street parking garage will be closed for maintenance and repairs starting Monday, Oct. 13.
The city anticipates the work to end in mid-December, pending delays.
