Marsha Kaye Hanusek (Morris) passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2026, at her home in Lawrence.
Marsha was born May 8, 1959, in Lawrence, Kansas, to Hoyt Morris and Shirley Weeks (Estes). She grew up in Lawrence and had many dear friends. She enjoyed going with family, friends and loved to play bingo, gamble and have a good conversation.
Survivors include her children, Jeremy Transue of Sicily, Italy and Jami (Mark) Sink of Ottawa, Kansas, and 5 grandchildren: Abigail Sink, Katelyn Transue, Brooklyn Transue, John (Donnie) Sink, and Owen Transue; her mother, Shirley Ann Weeks; sister, J A Stowe; brother, William Morris; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hoyt Morris and brother, Kenneth Hoyt Morris.
Celebration of life will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026 the Eagles Lodge on 6th Street in Lawrence. Feel free to bring flowers and or a covered dish and lets just celebrate Marsha’s Life. See you all there!
