Sheboygan, at eighteen years and four months, passed away on September 20, leaving behind many friends and admirers. Happy, easy-going and friendly, he drew attention on his walking routes downtown and in Old West Lawrence. His exuberant greetings never failed to draw a laugh and smile. Amyx Barbershop was a favorite place for him to burst through the door and run to greet everyone–especially Gloria–and when all the hellos were done Mike always had a cookie ready. Sheboygan would want all his friends and folks he encountered to know how much he loved seeing them and saying hello.
Note: We are offering Lawrence and Douglas County community members space to publish remembrances of loved ones who lived in this community, free of charge. These pieces are submitted by family and friends of the deceased and not written by our staff.
