The city in January will host an open house to discuss the ongoing traffic project that has placed barriers throughout Old West Lawrence streets, and to gather feedback for permanent installations.
Those heading home to Old West Lawrence for the holiday might need to ask for directions. The routes that residents have taken for years are now obstructed by temporary road barriers.
The right lane of southbound Massachusetts Street will be closed between 21st and 22nd streets starting Wednesday, Oct. 27, according to the city.
The outside lane of westbound Clinton Parkway will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, from Wakarusa Drive to Lake Pointe Drive.
Construction projects starting this week will cause traffic delays on two of Lawrence’s major roadways and close sidewalk access on one.
