Two young pianists, including a 16-year-old from Lawrence, will be featured at a virtuosic concert this Saturday.
KU music students this week will learn from visiting professional musicians. The masterclasses and a series of concerts featuring the renowned pianist, violinist and cellist are also free for the public to attend.
The Lawrence-based nonprofit Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance will open its season Tuesday with a free concert featuring the Free State High School Chamber Orchestra.
The Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance will present a free concert, “Voices of the Met,” on Saturday in Lawrence, featuring four KU alumni vocalists and many other talented musicians.
Free State seniors Morgan Kimuri and Mei Gordon Washington practice cello every day, many mornings before dawn. The community will be able to witness the girls’ and their classmates’ dedication firsthand during a free concert with the KC Symphony’s Mobile Music Box Tuesday at South Park.
