Next week, the first Douglas County District Court jury trial in more than a year is set to begin at the fairgrounds.

On Wednesday, when the next vaccination clinic is scheduled, that’s going to create a bit of a traffic issue.

So the county said in a news release Friday afternoon that the traffic pattern will be changing for Wednesday’s clinic and those that follow:

“Anyone with an appointment should enter the fairgrounds by turning north at the intersection of 23rd Street and O’Connell Road,” the release instructs. “Those with an appointment will receive directions about how to get to the clinic. The drive-through vaccination clinics are held in the Community Indoor Arena & Open Pavilion.”

Those headed to Flory Meeting Hall and Building 21 for court proceedings should use Harper Street.

Signage will be in place, and law enforcement and Douglas County Emergency Management staff and volunteers will also help direct traffic.
