Lugrand, currently in her second year at Pinckney, joined the district in 2020 after four years in school administration and 12 years in the classroom, according to the release.

“I enjoyed my time at Pinckney Elementary School, working with students, teachers, families, and the unique community,” she said in the release. “I am proud of the progress we have made toward our goal to ensure students are learning and achieving at high levels.”

The district will review the principal position along with other vacancies as part of its budget planning process, according to the release. Lugrand’s resignation, pending school board approval, will go into effect June 30.

“I appreciate Miah’s strong instructional leadership, her focus on data, and her dedication to supporting student achievement and personal growth. She has my best wishes for her future endeavors,” Superintendent Anthony Lewis said in the release.
